Learning together - What is SWOT?

To start with a project with the same knowledge, on Wednesday, February 17th, all of the students and teachers participating in the SWOT VET eTwinning project attended webinar om topic “What is SWOT?”. It was organized by school coordinator from Turkey, Şehit Yüzbaşı Özgür Özekin Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi. That was also the first meeting in which student participants got to see each other.

For Turkish partners, webinar started at 13:30, for Romanian at 12:30 and for Croatian at 11:30, right before the main break between school classes. They all gathered in one Zoom video call to learn more about SWOT analysis – a concept on which all of the further steps of this project aiming on detecting the biggest opportunities and threats for future development of vocational education in Europe are based. It was also the first meeting point of all of the students who take part in the project, outside of Twinspace and some collaboration platforms used for creating digital content – like Padlet and Ourboox which were used to mark Safer Internet Day. Turkish schools had one additional webinar on the same topic immediately day after, on Thursday, February 18th, just to clear out some potential misunderstanding.

Although some of the students probably already studied SWOT analysis – like Futura’s students who got lectures from one of their economic teachers, as well as their colleagues from Economy and Administration School from Bjelovar who were supposed to get in touch with it within their curricula – it is always good to repeat and have some reminder. So, we know everything we need to so we can start working on building better future education for our vocational students – or at least, make a honorable attempt toward it.
